There are plenty of my favourites, but I mostly prefer Street fighter and Tekken.
Honorable Mention: JJBA
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2
SFIII: 2nd Impact
Tekken Tag 1
My favorite fighting games? Well, in order;
- Soul Calibur II
- Street Fighter X Tekken
- Super Smash Brothers (N64 version)
- Tatsunoko vs Capcom
- Super Street Fighter IV AE
Street Fighter Alpha 3
x-men vs street fighter
killer instinct(shit yeah)
- Super Turbo
- 3rd Strike
- Mortal Kombat 2
Street Fighter Zero 2’
Capcom vs SNK: Millennium Fight 2000
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition: Version 2012
Tekken 2 ver.B
SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium
Virtua Fighter 2.1
Street Fighter III: Third Strike
What’s the problem? I like the game. I think it’s a lot of fun and is overall a solid fighter. DLC shenanigans aside.
I have lots of fighting games but the ones I usually prefer are 3rd strike, cross tekken, arcade edition, and mortal kombat 9.
Super Turbo, Arcade.
3s still impresses me, and A2 is really nostalgic. When I get a few more Live points though, I will be back on Virtua Fighter. Love the 3 buttons and the graphics. I noticed there’s a Tekken Tag 2 coming out. Used to love playing the old one, when the PS2 was new, so might get into that again soon. I like a lot of other fighting games like Last Blade and Guilty Gear, but found them hard to play, and the online scenes are really small, so it is what it is. Turtles on SNES… now where is that game today :wonder:
Project Justice storywise, it’s just amazing.
This is a great question. I like many of them but it took me a while to compile, to short list this information and finally I came to a conclusion. Note: I am not really a fan of 3D fighting games.
Here is my top 5 most favorite fighting games which gave me deep impression and long hours of entertainment :
- Street Fighter IV series (2008). Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (December 16, 2010).
- Def Jam Fight for New York: The Takeover (2006).
- Street Fighter II series (1991) : Street Fighter II: Champion Edition (1992) & Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting (1993).
Hyper Fighting offered faster gameplay than its predecessors, different character colors and new special techniques.
It is very hard for me to separate this 2 as I equally like them.
- X-Men vs Street Fighter (1996).
- Buriki One (1999).
Thank you !
In an alternate reality where MK9 doesn’t have the input bug and has trades, MK9.
In this reality, I don’t have a fav
Always been partial to the SF series, but Street Fighter Alpha 3 in particular. MK3: Ultimate, Samurai Showdown and BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger get worthy nods from me, too.
It is kind of strange that this thread is in Other Games thread, instead of in the Fighting Game Discussion thread: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?forums/fighting-game-discussion.4/
