Why did YOU choose your current main character?

Just wondering on other’s thoughts on how they picked their main character, based on fighting style/moves/or just looks/name

I have three different main characters in the three games that I play/will play: Tron Bonne, Bonnie Hood, and Peacock.

*How* do you choose a character?

Keep in mind that this is NOT a “choose my character” thread. In fact, this isn’t even specific to any game, and this could even apply to non-fighters. What I’m wondering is, how do you go about choosing your character in the first place? Do you look into a character’s playstyle and choose solely based on that, not caring about the character behind it? Or do you just pick the characters you like the look and style of, or are a fan of, and treat playstyle as just an afterthought? Or is it a litt…
